Atmosphere - The atmosphere is electric with high
energy. The Red Room is a more formal elegant setting. The Green Room is
intimate eclectic elegance with numerous varied dining settings surrounded
by stylish architecture and design. The expansive room with high ceilings
broken segregated into several seating areas allows for a degree of intimacy
for each group. Some diners are relegated to backless low cushion stools
that are primitive at best, less than comfortable and crowded into the aisle
space.

Food - The menu is contemporary Japanese fused with
American. There is a broad selection of entrees with creative, stylish,
imaginitive presentations. Specialties include Kobe Prime Rib uni
hollandaise, Kani Nigiri spicy baked king crab, Maple Leaf Smoked Duck
house-smoked with hoisin sauce, mango chutney and mushu wraps. Other entree
selections include feature selections including Seven Spice Kobe Prime Rib,
Uni Hollandaise with Satsumaimo Pommes Frites; Teriyaki Salmon, Teriyaki
Glazed Salmon with Rice Porridge and Bok Choy; Chestnut Chicken, Half
Roasted Chestnut-Encrusted Chicken with Shitake Rice Stuffing and Ginger
Lemon Sauce; Grouper, Steamed With Shrimp Shumai And Nameko Mushrooms, Spicy
Sake Broth; and "Le Quack Japonais," Whole Maple Leaf Smoked Duck, Hoisin
Sauce, Mango Chutney and Mushu Wraps. The filet of beef was superb
highlighted by whipped potatoes that warranted an extra helping as a side
dish. The lobster teryaki was uninspiring. An adequate selection of deserts
are also imaginitive and stylishly presented. Food - 4.5/5
Wine - The wine-list is extensive and offers all tastes
and price-points - predominantly American with French, there are also
selections from Italy, Australian, Spain, New Zealand, Germany and Chile.
There is an extensive Champagne list. There are half bottles and a selection
of wines by the glass. High end rare vintage selections are but a few.
Prices are moderate to high. The staff were gracious and accommodating of
our
BYOB selections with acceptable corkage fees of $25 and $35. Wine - 4.25/5
